Spiritual Formation

Spiritual Formation

Spiritual Formation opportunities at FTC take a variety of forms, all of them outside the classroom, and frequently with the benefit of evaluative comments from the FTC faculty and administrators. The most frequent of these learning and growth opportunities occur in the daily worship services at FTC. Faculty members overseeing the planning of the worship services assign students to participate in the services according to their ministry gifts and comfort level at that point in their time at FTC. Some are asked to lead in worship music. Some read the Scriptures and others lead in prayer. From time to time, faculty members and administrators respond with an informal evaluation of this participation, which benefits those leading or speaking that day, as well as others who hear the suggestions. The weekly class schedule has some time available on Wednesday afternoons for a message or lecture from a visitor or one of the faculty or staff members.
