The 80th Graduation Ceremony, 2022

The 80th graduation ceremony marked on 21st October was unprecedented in many aspects. The number of students graduating remained high though lower than last year. We had 194 students graduating in all programs: thus Certificate in Pastoral Ministry, Diploma in Theology, Advanced Certificate in Chaplaincy, and Bachelor of Theology. The FTC community worked tirelessly to ensure the day was a success. We finished the function at 12:30 p.m which was much earlier compared to earlier years. Invited guests were drawn from Churches, Yearly Meetings, the Corporate Society, other learning institutions, and the National Government.

The 80th graduation celebration 2022 was predicated on Matthew 18:4 with the theme being “Serving God with Humility not Privilege!” The chief guest was Brother Stephene Magwilu who encouraged graduands to be game changers because they have been trained to be problem solvers, critical thinkers, and innovators. Solve the unsolvable!

All stakeholders of FTC were asked to embrace as their responsibility as it is evident that theological institutions are a critical catalyst in advancing societal sustainable development goals through holistic approach. FTC continues on an upward trajectory in terms of student enrollment and programming. We envision to introduce Master of Theology program next year 2023. This is in formed by the need of several alumni who wish to transition to higher levels of study particularly at FTC. We want to leverage on this as a niche for sustainability as well. God bless FTC!
